What data the app processes
The app processes data only locally on your device to carry out the checks you start. Nothing is transmitted to us, and we have no access to this data.
Camera
For the camera check, the app analyses the camera image in real time on the device to mark light reflections and camera-like shapes. It uses an AI model that also runs only on the device. The live image is not stored. A photo is saved in the app's private storage only when you press the shutter button yourself. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given through the operating system's camera permission, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings.
Local network (Wi-Fi check)
During the Wi-Fi check, the app asks devices on the same local network whether they offer services typical of cameras and reads the devices' self-description (e.g. device name, manufacturer, model). The app does not log in to other devices and does not retrieve any content from them. Results are only displayed and – if you save a report – stored locally. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) through the "Local Network" permission.
Bluetooth
To look for trackers and radio cameras, the app receives Bluetooth signals that nearby devices broadcast publicly anyway (e.g. device identifier, name, signal strength). The app does not connect to these devices. Identifiers are kept in memory only during the check and – if you save a report – stored locally. On older Android versions (up to Android 11), the system additionally requires the location permission for Bluetooth scans.
Location (on-the-move observation)
Only if you start the long observation in "Bluetooth & trackers" and grant the location permission does the app use your approximate location. It uses it to recognise whether a tracker is with you at several different places. Positions are kept in memory only during the observation; they are not stored or transmitted. The report only contains the number of places, no coordinates. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time in Settings. Without location the observation still works, then based on time instead of places.
Motion sensor
During the camera check, the app uses the gyroscope to tell lens reflections from glare. These values are processed only briefly and are not stored.
Reports and photos
Reports, notes and photos are stored only in the app's private storage on your device. You can delete them in the app at any time. Deleting the app removes them completely. If you copy or share a report yourself, you decide who receives it.
Settings
The chosen app language is stored locally on the device.
Purchase and downloads
Purchases and downloads are handled by Apple's App Store or Google Play, whose privacy policies apply. We only receive anonymous, aggregated statistics from them (e.g. number of downloads).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent. As we do not store any data about you, we can usually only confirm that no data exists. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
Changes
We update this policy when the app or the law changes. The current version in the app or on our website applies.
